Cast announced for Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS at The Mill at Sonning
Casting has been announced for Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, which plays at The Mill at Sonning from 27 November 2024 - 25 January 2025.
With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, and based upon the Paramount Pictures film written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank, the cast includes Jason Jajdi (Matilda the Musical, International tour) as Bob, Connor Hughes (42nd Street, Curve/Sadler’s Wells/Canada & UK tour) as Phil, Gabriella Williams (Chasing Rainbows, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre) as Betty, Nic Myers (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, West End) as Judy, Mark Curry (Wicked, West End) as General Waverly, Shirley Jameson (Hello, Dolly!, West End) as Martha, Natasha Cayabyab (professional debut) as Susan, Shem Omari James (Jesus Christ Superstar, UK tour) as Sheldrake, Greta McKinnon (42nd Street, UK and International tour) as Rhoda, Eleanor Walsh (Aspects of Love, Southwark Playhouse) as Rita, Elliot Allinson (Jersey Boys, West End) as Mike, Lewis Rae (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Leeds Playhouse/UK tour) as Ezekiel, and swings Grace Chan (Jack and the Beanstalk, Birmingham Hippodrome) and Jack Speck (Cinderella, Basildon Towngate Theatre).
Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including ‘Blue Skies’, ‘I Love A Piano’, ‘How Deep Is the Ocean’ and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
