<strong>Cast for Storyhouse’s <em>A Christmas Carol</em> unveiled</strong>
The cast for Storyhouse’s festive production of A Christmas Carol has been announced.
The company have started online Zoom rehearsals before moving into the venue for socially distanced rehearsals.
Anton Cross (A Comedy of Errors, Romeo and Juliet) returns to Chester to play Bob Crachit, with Jessica Dives as Mrs Crachit (A Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night), Natalie Grady as Scrooge (Julius Caesar, Tartuffe), Seren Vickers as Ghost of Christmas Present (The Borrowers, Julius Caesar), Matthew Ganley as Marley (The Prince and the Pauper), Stephanie Hocklay as Clara (The Little Mermaid, A Midsummer Nights Dream), Norah Lopez Holden as Fred (The Winter’s Tale) and Yana Penrose as Rosie (How Love Is Spelt).
Nine actors from Storyhouse’s Youth Theatre will make their stage debuts by sharing the roles of Tiny Tim, The Ghost of Christmas Past, Peter and Mary Crachit.
The production has been written and directed by Alex Clifton, and will feature design by Jessica Curtis, sound by Ben Harrison, lighting by Prema Mehta, musical direction by Jessica Dives and choreography by Stephanie Hockley.
Alex Clifton said: “We are so delighted to have this company! They each come with enormous skill, commitment and energy. They are all wonderful storytellers and are ready to work very hard. Like always, they each come with a diversity of experiences and perspectives and a variety of skills: musicianship, singing, physical skills. They can’t wait to be with an audience – to connect with, to play with and to.”
