Cast announced for THREE SISTERS at Shakespeare’s Globe
Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse production of Three Sisters, a translation by Rory Mullarkey, directed by Caroline Steinbeis, which runs from 31 January - 19 April 2025.
The cast includes Michael Abubakar (Roots, Almeida Theatre) as Tuzenbach, Kelvin Ade (Wendy and Peter Pan, Leeds Playhouse) as Fedotik/Cover, Rachel Barnwell (Talking About Men, Old Red Lion) as Ensemble/Cover, Ishia Bennison (Happy Valley, BBC) as Anfisa, Natalie Klamar (This Much I Know, Hampstead Theatre) as Natalya Ivanovna, Richard Pyros (Happy End, Brecht/Weill opera) as Vassily Solyony, Paul Ready (The Duchess, West End) as Aleksandr Vershinin, Shannon Tarbet (The Breach, Hampstead Theatre) as Masha, Michelle Terry (Richard III, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Olga, Ruby Thompson (Shakespeare’s Women, A Call To Arms) as Irina, and Stuart Thompson (A Taste of Honey, National Theatre) as Andrei. Further cast members to be announced in due course.

A more perfect match of a space and a text has never been. We have carefully put together this remarkable acting company to unlock a brand-new version of the text by Rory Mullarkey. I know audiences can look forward to an amazing night shared with this team of actors at the top of their game.”
Three Sisters is designed by Oli Townsend, with composition by Oliver Vibrans, candlelight design by Anna Watson, movement direction and choreography by Aline David, and translation by Rory Mullarkey.
