Cast and creative team announced for Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s KING LEAR
The full cast and creative team has been announced for the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s King Lear, which begins performances at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre on 21 October.
In autumn 2024, the production will transfer to The Shed’s Griffin Theater in New York.
As previously announced, Kenneth Branagh will play the title role of King Lear. He will be joined by Mara Allen (Macbeth, The Globe) as Curan, Deborah Alli (Best of Enemies, West End) as Goneril, Raymond Anum (The Merchant of Venice, The Globe) as Burgundy, Melanie-Joyce Bermudez (professional debut) as Regan, Doug Colling (Dear Evan Hansen, West End) as Edgar, Dylan Corbett-Bader (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Sky) as France, Eleanor de Rohan (Anatomy of A Scandal, Netflix) as Kent, Chloe Fenwick-Brown (professional debut) as Oswald, Joseph Kloska (The Winter’s Tale, RSC) as Gloucester, Corey Mylchreest (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Netflix) as Edmund, Hughie O’Donnell (Into The Woods, The Cockpit) as Cornwall, Caleb Obediah (Bridgerton, Netflix) as Cornwall, and Jessica Revell (Tracy Beaker Returns, BBC) as Cordelia/The Fool.
Joining Kenneth Branagh as director, the creative team is made up of set and costume designer Jon Bausor projection designer Nina Dunn, lighting designer Paul Keogan, sound designer and composers Ben and Max Ringham, choreographer Aletta Collins, and casting directors Lucy Bevan CDG and Emily Brockmann.
