Cast and creative team announced for THE DANISH GIRL musical ahead of workshop next week
Ahead of its workshop at the New Theatre Peterborough from 26-30 April, new musical The Danish Girl has announced its cast and creative team.
Adapted from David Ebershoff’s book, The Danish Girl tells the true story of painter Lilli Elbe who was the first person to undergo gender confirmation surgery in 1930.
The musical has been created by Katie Lam and Alex Parker alongside director Tinuke Craig, and will star American transgender actress L Morgan Lee in the lead role, alongside Sharif Afifi, Kelly Agbowu, Jo Eaton-Kent, Siubhan Harrison, Chloe Hart, Chris Jenkins, Freddie King, Harrison Knights and Laura Pitt-Pulford.
The project will also supported by consultants actor and director Jake Graf and one of the highest ranking transgender soldiers in the British Army Hannah Graf, as well as founder of the Trans Voices Company Harry Williams.
