Carrie Hope Fletcher to make panto debut alongside Ore Oduba in Canterbury

Award-winning musical theatre actress, author, and internet personality Carrie Hope Fletcher is to star in her first ever pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from 25 November 2022.

She joins the cast as villain Carabosse, alongside TV star and Strictly Come Dancing champion Ore Oduba who will play Prince Orlando. Also in the cast are CBeebies’ Swashbuckle actress Jennie Dale as Fairy Moonbeam, British Pantomime Award winner Max Fulham as Jangles and Marlowe Theatre panto regular Ben Roddy at The Dame. Aurora will be played by Ellie Kingdon, who is currently appearing in the West End cast of Grease the Musical.

Fletcher, who has starred in West End shows including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella, Les Miserables and Heathers shared the news on her Instagram, adding: “This Christmas I will be making not only my Panto debut…but my VILLAIN debut as Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty [at The Marlowe Theatre] !!! I am beyond excited to cast some wicked spells and put fear into the hearts of children all in the name of Christmas spirit!”
