Canterbury announces socially distanced pantomime, Beauty and the Beast

The Malthouse Theatre in Canterbury has announced a glittering new Covid-safe pantomime production of Beauty and the Beast will run from 11-18 December.

The show has been written by Paul Tate and will be directed by Joseph Hodges and choreographed by Jay Gardner.

Tate will also star as Dame Mona Lot in the panto, alongside a West End cast including Sinead Kenny (Aladdin) as Belle, Jonathan Carlton (Kinky Boots) as Prince Louis, Joe Kelly (Saturday Night Fever) as Pierre A’Tights, Sophie Camble (White Christmas) as Marie-Ann Toilette and Louise Young (Mamma Mia) as Cherie Trifle. Completing the cast are Megan Dabbs and Katie Larbey.

The theatre will ensure socially distanced seating, one-way systems and regular cleaning of the venue. Refunds are guaranteed if the performances cannot proceed for any reason.

The show will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes with no interval. Tickets can be booked in blocks of between 2-6 seats and prices start from £33.50 for 2 people.
