The much-loved Camden People’s Theatre has unveiled its Autumn Season. 

The theatre, which has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, have announced that the season will open with Guido Garcia Lueches’ Playing Latinx from 7-9 October, a play that looks at how South American actors are pigeonholed regularly in Briton. 

Following this, there will be a variety of productions from award-winning artists, including Daisy Hale’s If You Love Me, This Might Hurt from 19-30 October and Barrell Organ’s LIVE LDN on 29 November.

Sh!t Theatre are penning a “future-cult” musical rumoured to be titled Don’t Look Over Here Andrew Lloyd Webber on 29 & 30 October, which is described as the story of the world’s first ever female president of a country in the history of the world ever. Sh!t Theatre have previously been responsible for Sh!t Theatre Drink Rum with Expats. 

Tania Camra’s semi-autobiographical piece Oreo (30 November-1 December) will be a one person show that looks at micro-aggressions faced by Black people, and the date around Cecil Rhodes statue in Oxford will be taken to the stage in Essentially Black by Naomi Denny, playing on 17 October.

Education, Education, Karaoke by Tom Ryall (23-27 November) will blend reflections on issues in state education and pop, plus Frankie Thompson has penned a piece which will focus on the seedy sex lives of politicians entitled The Sex Party: Work in Progress, playing from 23-25 November.

Richard Popple provides a sci-fi story titled An Idea Come to Me (18-20 November), and Sarah Richardson and Russeni Fisher are penning spoken word shows for the programme.
