Bush Theatre announces further dates and online broadcast details for LAVA
Due to public demand, the critically acclaimed production Lava by Benedict Lombe has been extended at the Bush Theatre.
Covid isolation requirements had affected its original run, leading to some performances being cancelled. Live performances of Lava will now run until 13 August. The production can also be seen online from 16-21 August.
The production will be streamed worldwide, with performances beginning at 2.30pm and 7.30pm (GMT) and will remain available to watch for 48hours afterwards. The runtime is 75 minutes and each online performance is a livestreamed show. It is available to watch on a web browser via Google Chromecast, or Apple TV, Android TV, or Amazon Fire TV.
Lava is a monologue written by Benedict Lombe and directed by Anthony Simpson-Pike. Lombe has been part of the BBC Writers room and was shortlisted for the Papatango Playwriting award, and the Royal Court and Kudos TV Fellowship, amongst others. Lava is her London theatre debut.
It is performed by Ronke Adekoluejo, whose performance is nominated for ‘Best Performance Piece’ in the Offies Awards. Her previous work includes Three Sisters (National Theatre), Doctor Who, Chewing Gum and The Mountaintop (Young Vic).
