Broadway Cast Recording announced for CAROLINE, OR CHANGE

Roundabout Theatre Company have announced that they will be releasing a Broadway cast recording of Caroline, Or Change, available to stream on digital platforms from 17 December 2021 and on CD from 14 January 2022.

With the book and lyrics written by Tony Kushner and music by Jeanine Tesori, this musical revival incorporates soul, classical and tradition Jewish folk music to create an emotional and through-provoking story about capitalism, white privilege, centring around the time of the civil rights movement. The six-time Tony Award nominated musical is certainly not one to be missed and has been a fan favourite for many years. Having taken home an Olivier Award for Best Musical in 2007, it is certain that the revival will not be one to miss.

The full revival cast includes Sharon D. Clarke as the title character, with the role of Dotty Moffett going to Tamika Lawrence. Bringing the Gellman family to life are John Cariani as Stuart Gellman; Joy Hermalyn as Grandma Gellman; Caissie Levy as Rose Stopnick Gellma and Stuart Zagnit as Grandpa Gellman. Additionally, Chip Zien performs as Mr. Stopnick.

The domestic appliances are portrayed by Arica Jackson (The Washing Machine); Kevin S. McAllister (The Dryer and The Bus); Harper Miles (Radio 3); N’Kenge (The Moon); Nya (Radio 2); and Nasia Thomas (Radio 1).

The revival is directed by Michael Longhurst and will be running from now until early January next year.
