It has been revealed that BBC’s Big Night of Musicals, filmed at Manchester’s AO Arena last month, will be broadcast on TV on 25 March.

Hosted by Jason Manford, the 90-minute concert features performances from the stars of Hamilton, The King and I, Aspects of Love, Matilda, We Will Rock You, Disney’s Newsies, Six, Ain’t Too Proud, Shrek, Mamma Mia!, Les Misérables, The Bodyguard, and Wicked.

There will also be a segment celebrating Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s career and a behind-the-scenes look at the UK tour of Heathers: The Musical.

Further content from the concert will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on 26 March from 8-10pm, presented by Samantha Barks and Layton Williams, who have exclusive backstage access to interview the stars taking part.

This radio programme will be available on BBC Sounds for 30 days after broadcast, whilst the TV programme will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
