Brand new Judi Dench documentary to be broadcast this month

A brand new documentary charting Judi Dench’s career will be shown on 15 July at 9pm on Channel 5.

Narrated by Simon Callow, Judi Dench: Our National Treasure will feature interviews with friends and colleagues including Penelope Wilton, Richard Eyre, Julie Graham, Miriam Margolyes, Samantha Bond, Bonnie Greer, Nina Wadia, Gyles Brandreth and Susan Penhaligon.

The BAFTA Award-winning Yorkshire-born actress studied at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and made her professional debut in 1957 in Hamlet playing Ophelia. She also has over 50 film credits to date including several James Bond films, and 40 TV shows to her name, including A Fine Romance and As Time Goes By.
