Brand new destination for comedy, film and music announced in North London

A brand-new venue has landed in North London, Ludo’s. A destination for comedy, film and music... and let’s not forget, beer! What else is there to ask for? Ludo’s new bar + venue is waiting for you in North London with all of this and more!

Ludo’s is the big red bus in North London, and behind that bus are Charley, James & Mag the dog. The name Ludo itself is in honour of the great beast from classic 80’s film, Labyrinth, starring David Bowie. With Charley’s background in comedy, James’ roots in film, and their shared love of music, magic and a good old-fashioned pint, the Ludo’s dream was born.

Ludo’s has very quickly become a destination venue in North London, being just 100m walk from Wood Green Tube Station. The Blue House Yard, in which Ludo's is situated, with its unique setting and colourful pop-up retail units, is a hidden gem of North London - filled with independent and creative businesses; a relaxed and enjoyable place to while away an afternoon with your friends or enjoy a night of high-quality entertainment.

Co-Founder of Ludo’s, Charley Base said: “Our aim has always been to provide great entertainment - whether that’s comedy, film or music – along with quality drinks. We are massive fans and champions of natural wine and real cider and we have an ever-evolving selection of local and independent (yet affordable) beers – we are doing our best to keep prices under £6 for a pint!”

It is not only the pints and the adorable dog that attract customers, but it’s amazing ‘live nights’ as well. Live at Ludo’s comedy nights are held on the top deck of the bus, featuring some of the best names in comedy. There are six nights lined up for this Autumn, with tickets available for just £10. With some of the biggest names in comedy set to grace the Big Red Bus’ stage including the likes of Sophie Duker, Ania Magliano, Heidi Regan, Esther Manito and Luke Kempner, these night's promise to be a blast!

Other events include their music nights, indoor and outdoor film screenings, beer and wine tastings, plus seasonal parties!

With its cosy ‘micropub’ atmosphere, quality drinks offering and real Cornish pasties, Ludo’s is the perfect new hangout spot for a weekend date or night out with friends. Come along, you never know what you are going to find!
