Alistair Brammer announced as part of workshop cast for ALICE IN NEVERLAND

Alistair Brammer

A sequel to Alice in Wonderland, also set as a prequel to Peter Pan, is in the works to become a new musical. Aptly titled Alice in Neverland, the show has its sights set on Broadway in the near future.

The workshop cast has been announced as Christy Altomare (Anastasia), Heath Saunders (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) and Will Swenson (Waitress) who will join Megan Masako Haley (Wicked), Alistair Brammer (Miss Saigon) and Timothy Hughes (Hadestown) to bring the project to life.

The show has book, music, and lyrics by Phil Kenny and Reston Williams and has a production team that includes Jerry Goehring (Be More Chill), three-time Tony Award winner Jim Kierstead (Hadestown), Mike Evariste (Disgraced), seven-time Tony Award winner Jamie deRoy (Beetlejuice) and 42nd.club (Moulin Rouge!).

The idea of mixing the two characters has been approached before with John Logan’s Peter and Alice focusing on the encounter between the real life inspirations for Alice and Peter Pan. The title suggests, however, that we will actually see Alice in Neverland.

Details about a full run are to be revealed.

Sounds interesting, Besties!
