Daniel Boys & Emily Tierney to star in European premiere of NEW YORK

It has been announced today that Daniel Boys and Emily Tierney will star in the European premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s musical revue New York at the Waterloo East Theatre from 26 October-14 November.

Conceived and arranged by Rob Fisher with a book by Fisher, Sammy Buck and Garth Edwin Sunderland, the revue explores the music of Bernstein and the city that inspired so much of his life and work. From his famous friendships with Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins and Aaron Copland to his ascendance as one of the great American composers, it is packed with beloved hits from shows including West Side Story, On the Town and Wonderful Town.

The piece will feature direction by Gerald Armin, musical direction by Archie Combe and lighting by Jonathan Pearson.
