As part of its ‘One Person Powerhouse’ theme, streaming platform Broadway on Demand will present several special events this month including solo show Kennedy: Bobby’s Last Crusade, documentary series Billy Joel: The Last Play at Shea and Carole King: Natural Woman.

Streaming from 15-31 January, Kennedy: Bobby’s Last Crusade is a one-person show following Kennedy during his short, electrifying run for President in 1968. The play combines some of his famous speeches with personal moments of his campaign. It is written and performed by David Arrow, directed by Eric Nightengale, set design by James Morgan, lighting by Miriam Nilofa Crowe and sound by Ben Scheff.

The Last Play at Shea documents the intersecting histories of the landmark Shea Stadium and legendary singer-songwriter Billy Joel. The documentary, streaming on 22 January, is written by Mark Monroe, directed by Paul Crowder and narrated by Alec Baldwin. It features interviews with the “Music Man” himself as well as Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, Roger Daltrey and Don Henley.

Lastly, on 29 January, Carole King: Natural Woman (directed by George Scott) celebrates the renowned artist’s life and career. King herself is interviewed along with collaborators and family members, plus viewers can enjoy rare home movies, performances and photos to complete the tapestry.
