BILLIONAIRE BOY & HORRIBLE HISTORIES to play in the West End this summer

Billionaire Boy

Birmingham Stage Company have announced they will be bringing the West End premiere of David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy to the Garrick Theatre and the world premiere of Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain – Part Five! to the Apollo Theatre this summer.

Following the huge success of the award-winning Gangsta Granny in 2017, Walliams’ best-selling novel Billionaire Boy will be his second stage adaptation to play in the West End, running from 17 July -22 August 2021.

He said: “I am absolutely delighted this fantastic family show of my book is coming to the West End. It is really funny and I can’t wait to see it again.”

The latest and brand new production of Horrible Histories will mark ten years since the original record-breaking Barmy opened in the West End. The world premiere of Barmy Britain – Part Five! will be full of crazy new characters and rude new rulers from Britain's barmy past, running from 29 July – 28 August 2021.

The seating capacity at the Apollo and Garrick Theatres is currently set at 50% to comply with COVID-19 Secure guidelines.
