Ben Stiller in talks to star in stage adaption of THE SHINING

Deadline has reported that a major new Ivo van Hove stage adaptation of Stephen King horror The Shining is in development, with the aim of opening in the West End in January 2023 before moving to Broadway.

An A-list creative team is said to be in place including Tony Award winner Simon Stephens adapting King’s 1977 book, with Ben Stiller in talks to star as Jack Torrance; a role played by Jack Nicholson in the film.

Further casting and production information is expected in due course.
