Bellaray Bertrand-Webb’s DOG SH!T to debut in London

After a sold out run at the Dublin Fringe Festival and a Dublin Fringe Festival award nomination, DOG SHIT is debuting in London, with four performances at Theatre503 from 9-12 July.

Four friends and old colleagues are in good spirits but once things start to get a bit shitty, it becomes a night they will never forget.

DOG SHIT is a satirical comedy about people working in tech and theatre in Dublin. It begs the question – how far will you go for your career?

Expect to laugh at how silly we are when we take ourselves too seriously. (Because) let’s face it, we’re all a bit shit most of the time.

4 friends. 3 pets. 2 secrets. 1 big mess.

A play of shits and giggles. DOG SHIT refuses to pick sides but probes you, the audience, to think philosophically and question how you choose to live your life and why.

The cast include Breffni Holahan, Gracie Oddie-James, Laura Brady, and Aaron Shosanya.

This much celebrated debut theatrical work is written by Bellaray Bertrand-Webb, a graduate from the playwriting MFA at The Lir, Trinity College Dublin and a theatre maker from London. Recently she was Josette Bushell-Mingo OBE’s assistant director for Pegasus Opera’s Toutes Les Femmes and the Jerwood assistant director on The Homecoming at The Young Vic, directed by Matthew Dunster. Up next: She will assistant direct a play at the Royal Court.

DOG SHIT is directed by Ursula Mcginn, with design by QianEr Jin, lighting by Kevin Murphy, sound by Jenny O'Malley, and casting by Georgia Topley.
