Barlow & Bear’s UNOFFICIAL BRIDGERTON MUSICAL cancelled at Royal Albert Hall

The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical: Live in Concert by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear has been cancelled at the Royal Albert Hall on 20 September, according to the venue’s website.

Although unconfirmed, it is thought that this is in response to the earlier news that Netflix were intending to sue the creators over their live stagings of the show due to “infringement of intellectual-property rights”.

According to lawsuit documents, they cite that Barlow and Bear have “taken valuable intellectual property from the Netflix original series Bridgerton to build an international brand for themselves.”

Sad news, Besties.
