Bard From The Barn returns for second series

Bard From The Barn

Following the success of the first series, The Barn Theatre Cirencester and Aaron Sidwell have announced the second season of their Shakespeare in lockdown digital theatre series, Bard From The Barn.

The second collection of Shakespeare’s work with a modern-day setting will start on Monday 6 July at 7.30pm and will feature over 50 cast and creatives, including 35 final year drama school students.

New episodes will see West End stars perform including Natasha Barnes, Nathan Amzi and Mark Peachey teaming up with third year students to re-enact some of the Bard’s most iconic duologues.

The series will air on the Barn Theatre’s Facebook, YouTube and Instagram channels every weekday at 7:30pm with the return of the Weekly Review every Sunday at 10am.

There is still the opportunity to enjoy the first season on their Youtube channel, which features performances from artists including Tricia Adele-Turner, Max Hutchinson and Aaron Sidwell. You can read our review of the first series here.

Co-producer Aaron Sidwell said: The response to Bard From The Barn has been so incredible that we’ve decided we’re not going to stop there. With our 2nd series, Bard From The Barn has become a global creative process with actors joining us from as far as Australia, to work with thirty-five 3rd Year Drama School students.”
