BACK TO THE FUTURE MUSICAL extends until February 2022

The upcoming West End run of Back to the Future has been extended until February 2022, it has been announced today.

Based on the popular 1985 film, the musical enjoyed a successful run at Manchester Opera House before it was halted by the pandemic last March.

Reprising their roles will be Olly Dobson as Marty McFly and Roger Bart as Doc Brown, along with Hugh Coles as George McFly, Rosanna Hyland as Lorraine Baines, Cedric Neal as Goldie Wilson, Aidan Cutler as Biff Tannen and Courtney-Mae Briggs as Jennifer Parker. Further casting will be announced in due course.

The book has been written by Bob Gale with music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. Some songs from the film also feature in the show.

The show has direction by John Rando, design by Tim Hatley, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Gareth Owen, choreography by Chris Bailey, orchestrations by Ethan Popp, and musical supervision/arrangements by Nick Finlow.

Back to the Future currently plans to open in the West End in May 2021.
