ARTS BY THE SEA FESTIVAL makes over 20 new additions to 2021 programme

The Lips

Over 20 new unique sound and art installations alongside musical performances, exhibitions and theatre have been added to the 2021 edition of Bournemouth’s arts and culture festival, Arts by the Sea.

Running from 1-3 October, the festival takes place across the town centre and seafront inviting visitors of all ages to get lost in a world of creative experiences and accessible art. The latest additions to the line-up include Cloudscapes by Gobbledegook theatre, a new sound art experience, sing-a-long show The Lips by Puppets with Guts, illuminating dance piece Thrive by Grace Willows and Cirque Bijou and a packed Bandstand programme.

The theme for Arts by the Sea is ‘Connect’, chosen as now friends, families and loved ones can unite. Other highlights include Routes, a socially relevant piece that amplifies the marginalised voices of humankind; King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish, an afro-Latin inspired band; female collective Frau DJ’s and the brightly coloured Enchanted Garden by Urban Furniture Perspective, which transforms the Lower Gardens into an enchanted plot using giant mushrooms and larger than life flowers.

Her favourite ever musical is Half A Sixpence, and she could tell you anything that you could ever want to know about that show. She is honoured to be a part of the West End Best Friend team and cannot wait to see how the page grows and grows.
