Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CINDERELLA to return to the West End earlier than planned

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella is set to return to the West End slightly earlier than planned, it has been announced today.

Lloyd Webber decided to close the show temporarily due to the surge in Omicron cases but will now reopen to audiences at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 3 February.

The musical stars Carrie Hope Fletcher in the title role, with Ivano Turco as Prince Sebastian, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as the Stepmother, Caleb Roberts as Prince Charming, Rebecca Trehearn as the Queen, Laura Baldwin and Georgina Castle as the Stepsisters, Gloria Onitiri as the Godmother, Georgina Onuorah as Ensemble/Alternate Cinderella, Sam Robinson as Dorian, Giovanni Spano as Gawain and Vinny Coyle as Arthur.

Completing the cast are Michael Afemaré, Lydia Bannister, Michelle Bishop, William Bozier, Lauren Byrne, Sophie Camble, Tobias Charles, Nicole Deon, Jonathan David Dudley, Dominic Adam Griffin, Michael Hamway, James Lee Harris, Leah Harris, Kate Ivory Jordan, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, Andy Rees, Alexandra Waite Roberts, Lauren Stroud, Georgia Tapp, Matthieu Vinetot and Rodney Vubya.

This fresh take on the classic fairytale is directed by Laurence Connor, with choreography by JoAnn M Hunter, co-musical supervision by David Andrew Wilson and John Rigby, musical direction by Ben van Tienen, design by Gabriela Tylesova, sound by Gareth Owen and lighting by Bruno Poet.

Plans are also currently being made to open the show on Broadway in the near future.
