Almeida Theatre announces live stream of world premiere Nine Lessons and Carols

The Almeida Theatre has revealed its plans to live stream its upcoming production of world premiere, Nine Lessons and Carols.

The venue’s Associate Director Rebecca Frecknall, playwright Chris Bush, along with the six-strong company have devised a brand new play about connection and isolation. The ensemble cast features actors and musicians Naana Agyei-Ampadu (Caroline or Change), Katie Brayben (Beautiful: the Carole King Musical), Toheeb Jimoh (Anthony), Elliot Levey (Three Sisters), Maimuna Memon (Jesus Christ Superstar) and Luke Thallon (Albion).

The play is designed by Tom Scutt, with lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Carolyn Downing and music/lyrics by Memon

Nine Lessons and Carols is open now and runs until 9 January 2021, with social distancing in place. The streamed performance will be presented on 15 December with on demand options available.
