Almeida Theatre announces casting for Eline Arbo’s THE YEARS

Casting has been announced for the UK premiere of Eline Arbo’s adaptation of Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux’s novel, The Years, which plays at the Almeida Theatre from 27 July - 31 August.

Internationaal Theater Amsterdam’s new Artistic Director Eline Arbo directs this inventive stage adaptation, with five different actors bringing one woman’s personal and political story to life, set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing post-war Europe.  

The full cast includes Deborah Findlay (Orlando, West End), Romola Garai (Queen Anne, RSC), Gina McKee (Dear England, National Theatre/West End), Anjli Mohindra (Noises Off, West End), and Harmony Rose-Bremner (Protest, National Theatre of Scotland).

Memory never stops. It pairs the dead with the living, real with imaginary beings, dreams with history.
