Alan Menken concert to be streamed on Disney Plus

A special concert to celebrate the achievements of Alan Menken will be streamed on Disney Plus, it has been announced.

Featuring stars from the West End and Broadway, the concert will be filmed at the Vienna Concert Hall on 23 & 24 September 2022, where Menken will receive the Max Steiner award at the Hollywood in Vienna ceremony.

Confirmed performers include Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hamilton), Celinde Schoenmaker (The Light in the Piazza), Christine Allado (The Prince of Egypt) and Bongiwe Happiness Malunga (The Lion King).

Disney Plus will stream the gala event worldwide, alongside Austrian Broadcasting ORF, with a broadcast date to be announced.
