20th anniversary revival of THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE to tour the UK from 12 January
It has been announced that following a highly successful run at Birmingham Rep, the 20th anniversary production of Sean Foley, Hamish McColl and Eddie Braben’s The Play What I Wrote is set to tour the UK from later this month.
The show will open at the Theatre Royal Bath from 12 January before visiting Shrewsbury, Salford, Chichester, Malvern, Cambridge and Sheffield.
Directed by Sean Foley, the show follows writer Thom, who has written an epic new play set in the French revolution. But Dennis would rather continue with their double act, performing a tribute to Morecombe and Wise, and whilst the double act goes on, Hamish must find a guest star to appear in Thom’s play.
A mystery guest star will appear at every performance, meaning that you are always guaranteed a surprise with previous guest stars including Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Radcliffe, Sir Ian McKellen, Kylie Minogue and Tom Hiddleston.
